The controller is the SK Hynix ACNS075, supporting a PCIe 4.0 x4 and NVMe 1.4 interface. The SSD also uses SK Hynix’s 176-layer TLC flash memory and LPDDR4-4266 cache, the SK Hynix H54G36AYRB.

Solidigm Storage Tool monitors SSD status, health, and firmware update

Solidigm offers a dedicated “Storage Tool” software that provides monitoring and management features for the P44 Pro SSD. This software can detect the remaining life, temperature, and usage of the SSD, as well as provide firmware updates, diagnostic scans, safe cleaning, performance optimization tools, and host cache management. Solidigm P44 Pro PCIe 4.0 SSD 1TB performance test

The test was conducted using an Intel Core i9-13900K processor and a ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO motherboard. The Solidigm P44 Pro SSD was installed in the first M.2 slot of the motherboard and relied on the motherboard’s heat dissipation slices for cooling during the test.

The Solidigm P44 Pro 1TB SSD was checked using CrystalDiskInfo. It uses a PCIe 4.0 x4 and NVMe 1.4 interface and supports SMART, TRIM, and VolatileWriteCache functions. After formatting, the SSD has an actual usable capacity of 953GB.

The sequential read speed reached 7166.24 MB/s, while the write speed was 6751.8 MB/s. For random RND4K Q32T16 operations, the read speed was 6008.32 MB/s, and the write speed was 5845.32 MB/s.

The ATTO Disk Benchmark was used to test the maximum performance of the Solidigm P44 Pro 1TB SSD. In the Direct I/O queue 8-layer test, the maximum read and write speeds reached 6.6 GB/s and 6.3 GB/s, respectively.
